The mcp_server/ directory implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that
lets an AI agent (such as Claude) drive a running instance of Vodou — opening tabs,
navigating, and reading tracker-blocking stats.
How it talks to Vodou
remote_control.py implements the browser side of this: a loopback-only control
surface, off by default, enabled by setting the environment variable
VODOU_ENABLE_CONTROL=1 before launch. When enabled, Vodou opens a TCP server bound
strictly to 127.0.0.1 and writes its port plus a random per-run token to
~/.vodou/control.json, so a same-machine client can find and authenticate to it.
This is a narrow, fixed command set (open/navigate tabs, read blocking stats) with no file, shell, vault, or arbitrary code-execution access, and it's never reachable from the network — loopback only. It's an automation/development surface, not a feature end users need to know about or enable.
