☰ → Settings → Graphics offers three profiles: Hardware (fastest, the default), Compatibility (software compositing while WebGL stays on the GPU), and Software (no GPU at all, the most stable option). Changing this reads new flags only when the rendering engine starts, so Vodou offers to restart itself to apply the change — an intentional restart like this silently reopens your tabs, with no crash prompt.

Fixing flicker on "frosted glass" pages

Some Windows GPU drivers make pages that combine backdrop blur, WebGL, and a blinking text cursor flicker under hardware compositing. If you see this, switch to Compatibility mode.

Command-line override

For quick debugging without going through Settings, launch with a flag: python main.py --gfx default|vanilla|compat|gl|warp|software.
