When you submit a login on a site, Vodou offers to Save it (if new) or Update the stored password (if it changed) — nothing happens if it's unchanged.

Filling a saved login

Press the 🔑 button or Ctrl+Shift+F to fill the saved login for the page you're on. Filling is always something you trigger — Vodou never fills a form automatically — and it warns you if the page isn't using HTTPS. If more than one saved login matches the site, a picker lets you choose (or delete a stale one directly from the picker).

The key button pulses when a saved login is ready to fill on the current page; the vault button pulses instead if the vault needs unlocking first. Either way, a pulse always points at your next click.

Field detection is built to handle real-world sign-in pages: it can reach into same-origin iframes and shadow DOM, cope with fixed-position login popups, and handle multi-step logins (an email screen first, then a password screen) by filling the username and offering to fill the password once that field appears.

Copying a password

Copied passwords are automatically wiped from the clipboard after 30 seconds.
