The back and forward toolbar buttons (or Alt+← / Alt+→) step through the pages you've visited in the current tab.

Reload always fetches fresh

Ctrl+R, F5, or the ♻ button deliberately bypass Vodou's disk cache and re-fetch the page from the network. This matters because a page whose content depends on a cookie (a site preferences page is the classic example) can otherwise serve a stale copy from cache right after you change a setting on that site. Ordinary link-clicking and re-navigating within a site still use the cache normally.
